This cat was actually in a museum, painted on pottery. Felt fitting that a version of him should travel a bit. He reminds of a 5 year old's rendition of a cat - but without the facial structure.
The interesting part of this painting is the concept of simple fur. It boils down to fine lines and the right colours, neither of which I use for this painting.
He reminds me of the Cheshire cat, as he fades into the painting through the plants - the smile is implied.
